J’ai organisé le 7 février 2023 au Parlement européen, un « workshop » à destination des députés européens, de la Commission européenne et des parties prenantes, afin de rencontrer le collectif « Europeans for Safe Connections » et d’autres représentants d’organisations de la société civile préoccupés par la question des pollutions électromagnétiques des connexions sans fil, et de présenter leurs premières actions alertant du côté obscur de nos technologies modernes de télécommunications sans fil.

Présentation du workshop
Pouvons-nous parvenir à une connectivité équitable et durable ? Comment l’UE peut-elle proposer une législation qui protégera notre santé, notre nature, notre environnement et notre vie privée ? Comment pouvons-nous améliorer l’inclusion et la qualité de vie des personnes électro-hypersensibles ? Quels types d’options techniques sont déjà disponibles pour préserver des connexions gigabit tout en limitant le rayonnement et les dommages à l’environnement et à nous-mêmes ?
Cette rencontre prévoit également un échange de vues avec Mr Jean HUSS, ancien membre de l’Assemblée Parlementaire du Conseil de l’Europe, et rapporteur en 2011 de la résolution sur « Le danger potentiel des champs électromagnétiques et leur effet sur l’environnement ». Ainsi qu’un échange avec Mr Dumitru FORNEA, du Comité économique et social européen (CESE), et rapporteur de l’avis sur « L’incidence sociétale et écologique de l’écosystème de la 5G » adopté en 2021.
Le docteur Marc ARAZI exposera également le cas concret du PhoneGate et les questions que ce scandale soulève en matière de conformité du DAS des téléphones portables et de leur commercialisation au sein des pays de l’UE.
Mr Peter STUCKMANN, DG Connect, présentera les perspectives, plans et projets de la Commission européenne, en ce qui concerne la Décennie Digitale et l’entreprise conjointe 6G-SNS.
Des représentants de l’Association Zone Blanche en France, présidée en France par Michèle Rivasi depuis 2014, et du collectif belge « Ma vie en mode avion » donneront le point de vue des électrosensibles et les défis qu’ils ont à relever au quotidien.

An European Parliament workshop event for MEPs, Commission, Stakeholders, to meet the Europeans for Safe Connections coalition and others NGOs representatives, and to present their first actions to alert on the dark side of our modern wireless telecommunication technologies. An exchange of views with current member and former member of the European Economic and Social Committee, and the Council of Europe Parliamentary Assembly on similar concerns is also included in this workshop.

Europeans for Safe Connections (ESC) is a coalition of national and international organisations that are aware of adverse consequences of the modern communication technologies. ESC members develop proposals to arrive at a safer use of wireless telecommunication technologies, limiting radio frequency and microwave exposure as low as it is reasonable, at the level of individuals as well as the society, and the natural environment, flora and fauna.
For instance, in cooperation with MD Marc Arazi of Phonegate Alert, Europeans for Safe Connections has written a letter to local telecom regulators, asking if any test on specific absorption rate (SAR) of microwave radiation from mobile phones, tablets and connected objects on bodies has been carried out.
Mr Peter STUCKMANN, DG Connect, will present the perspectives, plans and projects of the European Commission, with regard to the Digital Decade and the 6G-SNS Joint Undertaking.
Representatives of the Association Zone Blanche in France, chaired in France by Michèle Rivasi since 2014, and of the Belgian EHS collective « Ma vie en mode avion » will give the point of view of electrosensitive people and the challenges they have to face in their daily life.
Europeans for Safe Connections is also the initiator on March 2022 of the European Citizens’ Initiative (ECI) “Stop 5G – Stay Connected but Protected”, that call on the EU notably to strenghten regulation to protect the environment from all the impacts of 5G and digitalization, to protect all life from the harmful effects from wireless radiation and to ensure that exposure guidelines are drawn up by totally independent scientists with the correct biomedical and medical expertise.
Humans, fauna and flora can be harmed by non-ionizing radiation. Current exposure limits provide insufficient protection — especially for vulnerable people (like children, pregnant women, patients, the elderly), animals, pollinating insects and plants. A rougly estimates concludes that 25 Millions people in Europe are suffering from electro-hypersensitivity : a chronic neuro-impairment condition related to electrosmog exposure, largely unknown and underestimated. With 5G, and 6G in some years, the amount of connected electronic devices, antennas and satellites will explode. Unsustainable energy consumption, radiation emissions, harmful mining and pollution will follow, which will endanger biodiversity and natural habitats.
Can we achieve a fair and sustainable connectivity ? How the EU can propose a regulation that will protect our health, nature, environment and privacy ? How can we improve inclusivity and quality of life of electro-hyper-sensitive people ? What kind of technical options are already available to preserve gigabit connection but limiting radiation and damage to our environment and ourselves ?
